We launch UK’s first ECO duvet
Boy did we have fun when we headed to the beach to produce stunning editorial images to support the launch of the UK’s first duvet produced using 100% recycled materials.
The duvet uses recycled plastic bottles to create the silky soft fibres that are encased in a soft touch fabric (also made only from recycled materials). The launch followed shortly after the shocking scenes filmed in David Attenborough’s Blue Planet II series – so we knew we had to seize the moment and associate the plastic recycling with the sea and beaches. The client thought we were mad at first, given the small budget we were working to – but in true The PR Boutique style we totally pulled it off.
We chose a beach near Formby and the team (who also modelled to keep client costs to a minimum) project managed the whole shoot.
The media coverage has been phenomenal – and is still coming through. National press – online and print, homes magazines (again online and print) and specialist ECO titles have all reported on our client’s new fabulous ECO Duvet. The product has also been tested by the Good Housekeeping Institute that’s also given it a rave review and a Going Greener Award.
We’d love to tell you more and show you the coverage – please get in touch for more details.
